~ It started with a book ~

How's everyone today?,I for one am not enjoying this Ice rain It's been continuously pouring all day here in the North East
.There's only so many coats a girl possesses and I,m clean out of the waterproof type
Anyway that's my little moan out of the way.
I thought I'd share with you my newest easy  make, and It really is soo easy, and on the plus side I had the company of my two girls, who I must say look to be taking after there mum ( don't know whether that's good or bad )
Here goes:
Oldest, hobby daughter received a lovely book for her birthday,It's called MADE BY ME by Jane Bull It has lovely crafty projects and It's a really pretty book
So after flicking through, we came across the knitting section, after working out what goes where, following the step by steps, the girls  had worked out how to finger knit !! it was then up to me to make something with there little knits.
Drum roll please.....

With a nice big button and a pretty ribbon I made this flower brooch
what do you think?? ......

Hope you have had a great weekend Manda - you are too clever, the little brooch is very cute!

Also like the page with the embroidered cupcake.

Hope you aren't too cold up there, my husband is working away at the moment at Durham Uni! He is a soft southerner and can't cope with the cold at all lol :-)

Just wanted to say thank you, my parcel arrived this week full of pretties. Thanks very much. By the way who did the needle work, never seen such a neat back - it is nearly as good as the front! Will blog about it when I get a min.

Great idea, the brooch looks very pretty. Perhaps I would have more success with finger knitting than the regular kind!

I think a creative Mum is a good thing. My Mum can draw really well but hardly ever did it and her painting really sticks in my mind.
The book looks great. I bet it's a right laugh in your house. xxx
