~ Absent Blogger ~

Summer days and sunshine is to blame for my lack of blogging lately,and throw in a spot of decorating into the mix and well let's just say this is the first day I've had to sit down and catch up !
The great British weather,what can I say glorious sunshine one minute then torrential rain and thunderstorms the next,at least the gardens and flowers like it.
As for decorating ,It's been all go for the past few weeks,finally finished the staircase I bought some lovely Laura Ashley Wallpaper, ,now It's on the wall I like it even more.
The girls bedroom has been hard work to decorate but finally I can see a light at the end of the tunnel,my lovely dad just finished building wooden bunk beds a  must with a house full of four kids ,should have taken some before photo's but when struggling with wallpaper stripping It's not utmost on your mind, It has to be one of my most hated things to do wallpaper stripping!!!! eughhh
After all the staying in decorating,thought it was a bout time to have a day at the beach,and what a day ,totally recharged my batteries,and let me tell you they were pretty flat.Lots of excitement on the beach when the kids found,jelly fish.....By this time it was time to go,didn't much fancy a trip to A&E

~Treasured Books ~

I decided to have a lazy day today,because this week  I have been running about trying to do everything, and not seeming to get much done in the process.But this never lasts lazing about ,I get bored  you see,or one of my kids start's to shout ma mm!! so I made a start  to tidy some things up, and then I came across these lovely books,and got distracted (It doesn't take much) and yep I still haven't managed to sort things because  I'm on here typing away to you lovely bloggy friends!!

My mam,gave me these books a few years ago, and to be honest I'd forgotten all about them,the illustrations I think are fab,especially HARE AND THE EASTER EGGS,It was published in 1952,it's so sweet.
And the next book is ALICE IN WONDERLAND which is even older,published in 1920,complete with lovely illustrations too,considering it's 91 yrs old It's  looking great.Can you imagine all the people that have looked at these books,now that I've found them again ,think I better display them,but first I will share them with you !!

~ Shabby Chic Tag ~

Just finished making this shabby chic tag for a little crafty project I'm doing at the moment,I'd like to start making more tags and journal crafts, but It always boils down to time.Anyway It's quite shabby but that's how I wanted it to be honest .....Let me know what you think... thanks x

~ Father's day ~

~Pretty cross stitched lavender bags ~

Just thought I would post these lovely little cross stitched lavender bags that my Nanna made for me,she is 85 and still stitching,I'd like to think I made it to 85 never mind finding the will to stitch something so pretty.Thanks Nanna Lilly xx

~ A day at the seaside ~

A school holiday wouldn't be complete without a day at the seaside,so with that in mind  off we all trouped to the nearest train station.I'd decided to take the kids to Salt burn By The Sea  ,It is about 20 miles away from where we live and thought they would like a train ride,they being the kids and yep I was right ,as usual !!!
Mums often are you see.

Saltburn is a lovely seaside town complete with a beautiful old pier,and the oldest water balanced cliff tramway in britain.The kids enjoy going down to the pier in the tram it's a must,we always have a fab time at saltburn it has a big sweep of a beach and the kids can just run free.
